David Ezekiel

David Ezekiel

Mr. Ezekiel was admitted as a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in 1971 and was admitted to Fellowship in 1978. In 1972/73 he attended the Graduate Business Centre of the City University, London and received his Master of Science degree in Business Administration majoring in Investment Analysis.

Before establishing International Advisory Services Ltd. (‘IAS’) in April 1981, Mr. Ezekiel was a Partner with one of the leading accounting practices in Bermuda - Moore, Stephens & Butterfield (the Bermuda arm of KPMG Peat Marwick).

IAS grew to be the largest independent Management Company in the Bermuda insurance sector and in September of 2009 IAS was acquired by Marsh McLennan. Mr. Ezekiel assumed the position of Chairman & Managing Director of the combined entity, Marsh IAS until his retirement from Marsh at the end of 2015.

Mr. Ezekiel has also served as Chairman of ABIC (Association of Bermuda International Companies) for a period of 13 years and has played a key role in the International Business sector in Bermuda over that period. In 2005 Mr. Ezekiel was named as ‘Insurance Person of the Year’ by the Bermuda Insurance Institute (BII) and 5 years later was presented with the BII’s ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’.

Mr. Ezekiel assumed the position of President/Director of Valor Group Ltd. on November 1st, 2015.

Mr. Ezekiel has two children Daniel and Rebecca and lists Football (Chelsea), Golf and Bridge as his major hobbies.

Karl Lupson

Karl Lupson

Karl is the Chief Operating Officer. He has 30 years of sales, marketing and operations experience, mostly in the individual life insurance industry. Through his individual life industry experience and other industries, he has gained international experience as Karl has worked and resided in over 20 countries. He previously worked for Mutual Life of Canada, now Sun Life Financial, in various key marketing positions. Karl transitioned to Valor Management Ltd as part of the merger between VL Assurance (Bermuda) Ltd and Bermuda International Insurance Services Limited (BIISL), where he had worked since 2006 as a key original employee of BIISL. Karl both lives and works in Bermuda and enjoys outdoor activities.

Mark Waddington

Mark Waddington

Mr. Waddington is based in Bermuda where he has spent more than 20 years in the insurance and reinsurance industry. Before joining Valor Management Ltd as Chief Financial Officer, he spent 12 years with American International Company Ltd, a local subsidiary of AIG. He worked primarily in the role of Director of Investment Accounting and Fund Administration before assuming the role of Associate Director of Risk Management during his last two years there.

Eddy Chow

Eddy Chow

Mr. Chow has over 30 years of experience in finance and investment of which he spent the last 20 years in Asia. In 2010, Eddy co-founded Apices Partners Limited, a private equity firm focused on investing in China and China related projects. As CEO, Eddy managed the firm’s overall strategy and direction. From 1997 to 2009, Eddy worked for Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong, where he provided leadership to the private finance, structuring, and sales and distribution businesses. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Mr. Chow worked for Lehman Brothers in New York for five years in the Fixed Income Derivative Department and for IBM in New York. Eddy holds an MBA from New York University and a BS from Polytechnic University in New York.
